CHAMPIONING A BETTER WORLD

We believe in the power of technology to transform the education process, and the
power of education to build innovative future generations. 47% of Nigeria’s 30.3
million unemployed are graduates. Every year, another 1.3 million graduates are
pumped out by the country’s poor education system. All too often we are giving
young people cut flowers when we should be teaching them to grow their plants. At
COLLETT Foundation, we place less emphasis on certificates and more emphasis on
skills development.

The Graduate Refresher Training (GRT) program is a program developed to train
and retrain Nigerian graduates to bridge the skills gap created by substandard
university education. Apart from improving functional skills in their field, GRT
beneficiaries also learn invaluable soft skills such as team work, leadership skills,
critical and analytical, interpersonal skills and much more. We envision a generation
of graduates who will not only be able to find a job, but also create one

As we empower young people to use their skills to solve their own local problems,
we have raised over 1500 young people through the GRT program. This has had a
significant impact on them and their communities, and has brought about new
opportunities for social and economic progress in Nigeria. Over the next decade,
this impact will spread to more cities, towns and villages across Africa

Through your support and donations, more youths in Africa will have access to
better education, and essential materials that will aid their personal and
professional development. Be part of growing a new generation of African youths
today!
